Review of Knight's Bride by Juliette Caruso

The cover of this book really drew me in, and the synopsis sealed the deal.

The book was a really enjoyable read. The setup of the story was great and gave you a very brief feel of what to expect from the world while painting a very vivid picture that was continued throughout.

The dialogue was chefs kiss full of banter and sweet moments.

The magic in the world was subtle but woven in really well, filled with interesting monsters. The healing, the wind magic, and even the marriage cloak which sounded magical all on its own!

Telon is a dreamy male character. Funny, attractive, masculine, without the toxic attitudes a lot of male characters possess.

Rachiele is fiesty and bold, and knows what she wants, while still being kind with her own self-doubts.

The chemistry between them was well done and made the book the great read it was. It was a joy to read the two falling in love with each other, realising what they thought they wanted was wrong and how perfectly they fit together.

Even the secondary characters were well thought out and full of character. I loved Hark and Corin.

My one complaint would be how the romantic conclusion came to an end. I felt like it was dragged out a little too long and some of the scenes weren't needed, or could have been shortened. There were a few instances where I kept thinking, any minute now Telon will turn up. Any minute now.

That being said, this story remains a solid 5* read for me and I will be reading book 2 and future books ASAP!

For a wonderfully spicy miscommunication book, snag this read!!
