I've read a few of E.P. Stavs books and they just seem to get better and better!
Firstly, I adored the characters. Adelaide was both sweet and fierce, and determined to have her way and her man! Add in the little quirk of being able to see ghosts and her pet ghost cat whiskers and she is a fabulous and intriguing main character.
And, Bertrand was just the right amount of brooding and tortured, and very protective. A great combination that just sparked chemistry that sizzled.
The story begins with Adelaide being forced into a marriage she is not keen on and quickly turns into a tale full of passion and spice, and a hint of suspense.
The setting changes from a wonderful manor home setting with old games and horse riding to a gothic castle by the sea, surrounded by high cliffs with a deadly tower filled with bloody secrets.
If you enjoy dark romance, vampires, gothic horror and spice then you will love this book!
