Review of The Duke's Christmas Wish by Jennifer Seasons

I was looking for a quick Christmasy read to get me into the holiday spirit and this book fit the bill. It was almost perfect. After their marriage Grant and Patience go their separate ways due to a misunderstanding on both parts. Heading into the Christmas holiday, Grant makes a wish to reconnect with his wife and the two bump into each other at the park.

Together they join in some of the festivities on offer, from Cider and hot cocoa to ice skating and seeing the ice figures. All of which entails them getting closer, and questioning what they thought of the other. Make way for some sweet and romantic moments as well as some banter and humour. The roasting chestnuts scene had me laughing out loud.

The story progression was quick, but not too much. Just right, keeping my attention throughout while still wanting to shout at the characters to just kiss already! Overall, I really enjoyed this story and would certainly recommend it to other romance readers. I won't hesitate to pick up more by this author in the future. I loved her writing style and her descriptions.
